Steve Hawker specialises in getting your acoustic or electric guitar playing just the way you want it. All jobs considered including:
" General setups and maintenance on all acoustic and electric guitars - restringing, truss rod and action adjustments and intonation setting.
" Fret work including re-frets, levelling, re-crowning and polishing.
" Electrical work including Shielding, fault finding, cleaning, re-wiring etc.
" Custom nuts and saddles made to order from finest materials including bone, graphite and high performance plastics.
" Repair work including, machine head replacement, cracks, splits, broken necks and headstocks etc.
" Customisations including pickup instillation, coil splitting, hardware upgrades and specialist fitting of pickups and pre amps for acoustic guitars.
" Sourcing of parts and accessories for customers including help and advice on DIY projects and home built instruments.
" Free quotations and advice given before any work is done! All prices available on request.
Emergency repair service is also available where possible to get your pride and joy back in action for that gig or recording session!! Give Steve a call and he'll see what he can do!!
For your convenience you can drop off and collect your guitar from the Drum Bank Music shop at 203 Gloucester Road during shop hours. Or you can make an appointment to visit the workshop which is located on Portland Square, St Pauls, Bristol.
